If you are good, you are meant to be able to win any map regardless of the opposition.
Also you need to consider factors, such as was he running a pug, was it his core team, was it his team for that matter. Maybe they had a dc.
If you win against his core grp, it is something to brag about.
Also, i feel unb is the best r-spike. I have fought passive, and usually i beat his team with no more than 1 or 2 deaths.
unb has a consistent spike. They have GOOD tactics, they have good rangers (dshotting capability), they have a GREAT spike and they have good monks. When all the other r-spikes die in 2-3 mins, unb takes up to 6 mins to kill (if they play it right).
Everyone makes mistakes in the game. Some mistakes can get u team wipe
unb is the best team in HA - My opinion

Pretty sure he meant best as in "the strongest" team, and I might agree. I didnd't really loose to any guild consistently when I still played activly. Rspikes really were the only problem, and Unb used to be the hardest one.
Well, that's mainly cuz they're the ONLY guild still playing rspike at a reasonable level. They're still shit compared to Scary, or the old school teams.

iA were definately the best, theres been a lot of people since but when iA played HA was actually active and had a decent number of skilled teams around, a lot of the groups mentioned in this thread are just people who started holding in the last 2 years when HA has been completely dead.
Powers was good for getting pugs to halls but most of his holding sprees were a result of abusing bugs, like being able to drag the ghostly off the altar and back to blues spawn. I think the same applies for a lot of teams that held very early on in the game, aside from massive bugs there was also very few good teams in HA early on and people didnt use ven't as much.

I remember in the early days, bspiking without vent and actually relativly clean spikes. You also gotta put yourself in the situation of that time to understand, people wanted the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOin emotes, as they actually ment something. (Right now, every PvE'er and their mom has a tiger/phoenix)
So people went through all kinds of methods of spiking, as using vent was something unheard of at that time. I remember spiking on recharge. (The first spike was, let's say at 00:20 seconds. and from there on, everyone would have to spike on their skill recharge. This worked relativly well, but sometimes you got severly out of sync with eachother. (If someone spiked on 40/40 by accident, dshots, etc)
I also remember ping spiking. Someone simply pinged a target, and the second he pinged, everyone spiked. This actually worked rly well, but required people to pay some attention. (Which wasn't that hard at the time, because people actually CARED about winning, unlike the current mentality which is farm-farm-farm)
God, those were the days... "R3+ Bloodspike need caller with vent! 7/8" (As in, the caller needed to supply both vent and the calling)

People cared just as much about winning back then as they do now. It has always been about the "You have gained X fame for your victory".
I can't fully comment on the state of pugs over time, but as every meta has had perfectly good pug builds that require only the smallest bit of communication, a pug trying to run a build that would require that kind of synchronization without a means to facilitate it, is just dumb.
Also everyone that mattered was using vent from day one. The lack of vent for either a player or a group served as a very quick way to weed out the worst of the lot.
